Fajr filmfest to call for entries on Cinema Day

The Fajr International Film Festival is scheduled to call for entries on September 12, on the National Day of Cinema.

The 42nd edition of the event with the secretariat of Mojtaba Amini will release the call for entries on mid-September.

Amini told the media that the festival secretariat has been working for a while and the details of the sections and regulations of this festival are being finalized.

The Fajr festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Since its 41st edition, the domestic and international versions of Fajr film festival have once again been held as part of one event titled “Fajr International Film Festival” after five editions of separate versions.

The 42nd edition of Fajr International Film Festival will take place next February.
